[/font]it's always morning in my mind, my little lamb, my pet.
Those golden orbs scanned the dense thicket as a slight padding of paws could barely be heard above the noises of the forest. Rhyme wasn't stupid, he knew he had to be on his gaurd in the forest as anything could be hidden in the dense undergrowth and thus his ears flicked back and forth every so often, searching for any sounds that might hint on another life form. His heavy mane was tugged on gently by the slight breeze in the air, he had tried his best to be certain that he wasn't walking down wind and finally, his head held high, he had made his way through the dense forest. It was unusual for Rhyme to bother taking a walk at this time of the day, prefering usually to lounge in the shade of one of the larger trees, however, today, hunger had stirred him from his light slumber and he had gone in search of a tasty morsel to fill that hole which was burning in the pit of his stomach. Perhaps he had chosen the wrong place to search, but he was hoping for an easy hunt so that he could rest sooner rather than later. Hunting for his own food had certainly been difficult for the first few weeks and although his natural hunting instincts had kicked in eventually, he had gone hungry for a few meals before getting the hang of it.
His elegant body slunk through the thick grasses that coated the floor of the forest, it was a tad unusual, Rhyme had to admit. His eyes flicked up, studying the canopy over head, he opened his mouth slightly, his long tongue licking out over his muzzle as he sat down, his legs aching gently from the walk, that was another thing that would take some getting used to, the long distances he had travelled, moving from a small enclosure in a safari park to a large open area was strange and awkward and took some getting used to, but he would survive it, of course. Rhymes head spun towards the noise of a twig snapping in the bushes, his ears swivelled around slowly and his eyes tried to focus on a shadow, his deep, almost majestic voice echoed out into the soft noises of the forest, "Who's there?" he asked, moving to be stood on his feet in case the creature wished him harm.
